About the Doctor of Pharmacy Program
The College’s Doctor of Pharmacy program prepares graduates to enter pharmacy practice in any setting and provides them with the tools and leadership skills necessary to advance the profession.
The College prides itself on student-centered learning, its rural health focus and the diversity of its student population, as well as interprofessional education, community engagement and the broad range of experiential learning opportunities provided throughout the state. The College has one of the most diverse student populations among U.S. pharmacy programs, and enrolls the third-highest percentage of Hispanic and Native American student pharmacists of any U.S. pharmacy school.
The PharmD program is a four-year professional curriculum. Pre-pharmacy courses may be completed at the University of New Mexico or at any two- or four-year college
