Our Programs

The College’s Doctor of Pharmacy program prepares graduates to enter pharmacy practice in any setting and provides them with the tools and leadership skills necessary to advance the profession. The program offers a broad range of interprofessional and experiential learning opportunities throughout the state. 

The College partners with the Anderson School of Management to offer a PharmD/MBA to prepare students for leadership positions that demand knowledge in the health sciences and business. The College also works with students interested in completing other dual degrees.

The PEPPOR program graduate degrees (MS and PhD) emphasize the social, psychological, political, legal, historical, quality, clinical and economic factors that affect production, evaluation, use, non-use and misuse of therapeutic modalities.

The Radiopharmacy Education Program provides training and the scientific knowledge, technical skills and professional judgment required to promote patient care through assurance of the safe and efficacious use of radiopharmaceuticals and ancillary medications for diagnosis and therapy.

The College of Pharmacy partners with the School of Medicine to offer graduate (MS, PhD) degrees in biomedical sciences.  The program offers studies in six different research disciplines. College of Pharmacy faculty provide education and research opportunities in Toxicology and Pharmaceutical Sciences.

UNM’s interdisciplinary Nanoscience and Microsystems degree program is offered jointly by the College of Arts and Sciences and the School of Engineering with the support of faculty at the College of Pharmacy.

The College, in partnership with the Department of Pharmacy in the UNM Hospitals, offers PGY1 residencies, PGY2 residencies in Ambulatory Care, Emergency Medicine and Infectious Diseases,and a Cardiovascular Pharmacotherapy fellowship.

In partnership with the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences, the UNM College of Pharmacy offers specialized Nuclear Pharmacy Education, including Authorized User Training and Training for Workers with Occupational Exposure to Radiation.

The College offers a continuing pharmacy education, including preceptor education and training in physical assessment for pharmacists, clinicians, nuclear pharmacy and more.
