Conklin received a BS in biology from New Mexico State University in 2009 and a PharmD from the University of New Mexico in 2011. After her completion of her doctor of pharmacy clerkship she completed a PGY1 residency followed by a PGY2 specialty residency in ambulatory care. She has recently been credentialed as a board certified ambulatory care pharmacist as well as a certified diabetes educator. Conklin provides clinical pharmacy services to the patients of Truman Health Services clinic within the UNM Health Sciences Center where she has developed a thriving pharmacist clinician run primary care clinic. Her clinical services emphasis cardiovascular risk education and medication management for patients living with HIV/AIDS. In addition to her clinical actives, she is a preceptor for student pharmacist and pharmacy residents during their ambulatory care clerkship.
Conklin has previously published in the area of medication management and transitions of care. However her current research involves the therapeutic effects of statins in the setting of drug interactions with antiretroviral therapy and assessing transgender patients’ needs in a inter- professional medical home.
